Cookies

Our websites use so-called “cookies.” Cookies are small data packets and do not cause any damage to your end device. They are stored either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies) on your end device. Session cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them yourself or automatic deletion is carried out by your web browser.

Cookies have various functions. Numerous cookies are technically necessary, as certain website functions would not work without them (e.g. shopping cart function or display of videos). Other cookies can be used to evaluate user behavior or for advertising purposes.

Cookies that are required to carry out the electronic communication process, to provide certain functions you want (e.g. for the shopping cart function), or to optimize the website (e.g. to measure web audience) (necessary cookies) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR unless another legal basis is specified. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing necessary cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. If consent to the storage of cookies and comparable recognition technologies has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of this consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and Section 25 para. 1 TDDDG); consent can be revoked at any time.

You can configure your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and allow cookies only in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for specific cases or generally, and activate automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are disabled, the functionality of this website may be limited.

If further cookies and services are used on this website, you can find this in this privacy policy.

In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of inquiries addressed to us (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR) if this has been requested; consent can be revoked at any time.

The data you enter in the contact form remains with us until you request deletion, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your inquiry has been processed). Mandatory legal provisions—in particular retention periods—remain unaffected.

Google Analytics

This website uses functions of the web analytics service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Analytics enables the website operator to analyze the behavior of website visitors. The information collected by Google about use of this website is generally transferred to a Google server in the United States and stored there.

Use of this service is based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and Section 25 para. 1 TDDDG. Consent can be revoked at any time.

On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity, and provide other services related to website and internet use to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.

This website embeds videos from the YouTube website. The operator of the website is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

When you visit one of our pages on which YouTube is embedded, a connection to YouTube’s servers is established. The YouTube server is informed which of our pages you visited. 7. Own services

Handling applicant data

We offer you the opportunity to apply to us (e.g. by e-mail, post, or online application form). Below, we inform you about the scope, purpose, and use of your personal data collected as part of the application process. We assure you that your data is collected, processed, and used in accordance with applicable data protection law and all other legal provisions and that your data is treated as strictly confidential.

Scope and purpose of data collection

If you send us an application, we process your associated personal data (e.g. contact and communication data, application documents, notes from interviews, etc.) to the extent necessary to decide on the establishment of an employment relationship. The legal basis for this is Section 26 BDSG under German law (initiation of an employment relationship), Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (general contract initiation), and—if you have given consent—Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. Consent can be revoked at any time. Your personal data will only be shared within our company with persons involved in processing your application.

If the application is successful, the data you submitted will be stored in our data processing systems on the basis of Section 26 BDSG and Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR for the purpose of carrying out the employment relationship.

As part of the application process, we may also conduct an internet search about you. This mainly includes Google search, LinkedIn, and Xing. The legal basis for this type of processing is our legitimate interest in obtaining an overall impression of publicly available information about you pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

Data retention period

If we are unable to make you a job offer, if you reject a job offer, or if you withdraw your application, we reserve the right to retain the data you submitted on the basis of our legitimate interests (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) for up to 6 months from the end of the application process (rejection or withdrawal of the application). Afterwards, the data will be deleted and physical application documents destroyed. Storage serves in particular as evidence in the event of a legal dispute. If it is apparent that the data will be required after the expiry of the 6-month period (e.g. due to a pending or imminent legal dispute), deletion will only take place once the purpose for further storage no longer applies.

Longer storage may also take place if you have given corresponding consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR) or if legal retention obligations prevent deletion.

Inclusion in the applicant pool

If we do not make you a job offer, it may be possible to include you in our applicant pool. If accepted, all documents and information from your application will be transferred to the applicant pool to contact you in case of suitable vacancies.

Inclusion in the applicant pool is based exclusively on your express consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). Giving consent is voluntary and is unrelated to the ongoing application process. The data subject may revoke consent at any time. In this case, the data from the applicant pool will be permanently deleted, provided there are no legal retention reasons.

Data from the applicant pool is permanently deleted no later than two years after consent is granted.
